PhD in Food Science and Technology A holder of a Master of Science degree in Food Science and Technology of DeKUT or from any other recognized institution  

A holder of a Master of Science degree in any field relevant to Food Science and Technology (including but not limited to: Life Sciences, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Agro-processing), from another institution recognized by the DeKUT senate.

Master of Science in Food Science and Technology Be a holder of Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science and Technology with at least a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from DeKUT or any other institution recognized by DeKUT Senate.  OR

Be a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in a related field, which is recognized by DeKUT Senate as an adequate pre-requisite for M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology

Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics
  1. KCSE Aggregate Grade of C+ ( plus).
  2. C (plain) in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics/ Physics OR
  3. C (plain) in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences/Mathematics and Geography or any of the KNEC Group IV subjects OR
  4. KNEC Diploma with credit or its equivalent in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Diploma in Food Science and Technology KCSE Aggregate Grade of C (plain) with at least C- (minus) in Mathematics, Biology/ Biological Sciences and Chemistry/Physical Science.  OR

KCE Division III or equivalent with at least five Credit Passes, three of which must be in either Physical Science/Chemistry, Biology/ Biological Sciences and Mathematics and one in English.
OR

KCSE/KCE. applicants or their equivalent who do not qualify in the above categories, but have a Certificate in Food Science & Technology or related disciplines from Institutions recognized by DeKUT Senate.

Diploma in Coffee Technology and Cupping Applicants should have obtained a minimum of C- (minus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent. Besides the minimum requirements, applicants shall have passed in specific subjects as follows: Biology D+, Chemistry D+, Mathematics D+, Physical and Biological Sciences D+. OR Holders of Stage I certificate in Coffee Technology OR equivalent qualification from recognized institution. Full time

Certificate in Coffee Technology and Quality Management Applicants should have obtained a minimum of mean of D+ (Plus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent. Besides the minimum requirements, applicants shall have passed in specific subjects as follows: Biology D, Chemistry D, Mathematics D, Physical and Biological Sciences D. Applicants with D with relevant coffee certificate training OR one year experience in the coffee industry will be considered subject to approval by the DeKUT Senate. Full time
